Our warm and welcoming community group, Better Places (Be Buckfastleigh), is delighted to continue supporting and running a variety of events and activities right here in Buckfastleigh. We invite everyone in our community to join us and be a part of these wonderful gatherings.

Tuesday - Buckfastleigh Social Supermarket: Every Tuesday, the Town Hall transforms into a warm and welcoming café space from 2.30pm, with the food store opening between 3-5pm. For a suggested donation of £4.50 per household, you'll be able to select from a variety of items. We ensure that everyone gets a fair portion of our stock, which varies weekly depending on the quantity of each item we have. We source our produce from Fare Share, a charity that redistributes surplus food from the industry to charitable and non-profit organisations. The food is always of excellent quality and in perfect condition. In addition to Fare Share's contributions, local businesses generously donate food and goods. We also have a 'free' table where you're welcome to donate to and select from. And let's not forget the free tea, coffee, and biscuits! You're more than welcome to come along just for a hot drink and a chat. We also run a similar Social Supermarket in Bovey Tracey.

Thursday - Little Lambs Early Years Group: Every Thursday, bring your little ones to the Little Lambs Early Years Group at St. Luke's Church Hall. From 10am-12pm, your children can enjoy lots of free play while you relax with a friendly cuppa. It's a great social space to make friends and enjoy a healthy snack. Best of all, it's completely FREE!
