St Benedict’s Catholic Church in Chapel Street, Buckfastleigh (TQ11 0AQ) is home to a friendly Catholic worshipping community. We're guided by our Parish Priest, Fr Francis Straw, who comes to us from Buckfast Abbey. We'd be delighted if you'd join us for Mass on Saturdays at 5pm, followed by tea and coffee. And don't worry, we have a quiet activity area for children during the service!
Pentecost Celebration: Make a note for Saturday, June 7th at 5pm. We'll be celebrating Pentecost — the birthday of the Church — and you're warmly invited. Alternatively, you can attend the Mass of Pentecost at Buckfast Abbey on Sunday, June 8th at 9am and 11am.
The Feast of Corpus Christi: We're holding a Vigil Mass on Saturday, June 21st for the Feast of Corpus Christi — a beautiful service in honour of the real presence of Jesus Christ in Holy Communion. You're also welcome to join the Feast of Corpus Christi celebrations at Buckfast Abbey on Sunday, June 22nd at 9am and 11am.
If you're holidaying in Buckfastleigh and looking for a Catholic Church, we'd be thrilled to welcome you at our Saturday Mass at St Benedict’s. Just pop in and say hello.
St Benedict’s is also a proud supporter of the Buckfastleigh Food Bank. We have a donation point in the church and we're always amazed by the generosity of our parishioners. You can find a list of items most needed on the Buckfastleigh Foodbank website.
