Our wonderful Patchwork Quilt Challenge group has been working tirelessly to craft beautiful quilts for those in need. A substantial total of 23 baby quilts, each made with love, have already been delivered to SCBU at Torbay. This year, we're looking forward to extending our support to RAFT (Refugee Aid for Taunton) and Exeter Refugee Support with quilts for children, teenagers, and others. A big thank you goes out to Virginia Turbett for her invaluable assistance with this initiative.
These organizations truly encapsulate our ethos of lending a helping hand to those who need the kindness of strangers. We've been delighted to welcome new members to the Patchwork Quilt Challenge this year, and it brings us joy to share our friendship, expertise, and companionship with the local community. And, of course, the donated fabric and wadding required to make a quilt!
Upcoming Meetings: Our next gatherings will take place downstairs at St Lukes in Buckfastleigh. Save the dates: Saturdays 14th June and 12th July, from 10am to 3pm. We'll provide refreshments, but kindly bring your own packed lunch. Best of all, there's no charge to attend these events, thanks to grants given by our Town Council and the Town Lottery. We'd love to see you there!
For any general enquiries, you can reach out to us directly. We look forward to welcoming you to our next meeting and getting creative together for a good cause!
