Christmas greetings and thanks from Buckfastleigh Community News

Buckfastleigh Community News shares festive wishes and thanks to readers, volunteers and sponsors, following a year of improvements to the news sheet and website. They invite continued contributions to keep local stories flowing into 2026.

All of us at Buckfastleigh Community News would like to wish our readers, contributors and deliverers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2026. Thank you for being part of our community this year.

You may have noticed plenty of changes to the news sheet and to the website over the past months. We hope you’re finding the new look helpful and easy to use. A special thank you to our Chairman, Michael Jones, who has put in many a late night to make the magic happen.

It’s wonderful to see so many interesting and diverse events happening around town. Please do keep your contributions coming — without them there is no news sheet. If you’ve a notice, photo, report, or date for the diary, we’d love to include it.

A huge thank you as well to our lovely delivery ladies and gents, who traipse the streets in all weathers to make sure everyone gets a hard copy through the door. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

We’re also grateful to our generous sponsors, Buckfastleigh Feoffees and Buckfast Abbey. The Feoffees are the town’s long‑standing charitable trustees, and Buckfast Abbey is home to a Benedictine community on the edge of Dartmoor; their support — along with donations from the public — helps keep the news sheet going.

If you’d like to help, contribute, or suggest improvements, do get involved — your support makes a real difference to what we can share with the town.
