Community carols at The Valiant Soldier

St Luke’s Church, with Buckfast Methodist Church, invites you to community carol singing at the Valiant Soldier on Friday 12 December. Expect favourite carols, activities for children and refreshments for all in a friendly festive gathering.

Come and sing your favourite Christmas carols with friends and neighbours at the Valiant Soldier on Friday 12 December 2025 from 6.30pm. We’ll be singing well-loved carols together — you can even choose your favourite (so long as it’s on the carol sheets!).

We’re delighted to be welcomed into the Valiant Soldier, Buckfastleigh’s much-loved time‑capsule pub museum — often called “the pub that never changed” since it closed in 1965 and remained untouched — and we’re very grateful to the team there for opening their space.

It’s a relaxed, family-friendly evening with simple activities for children and refreshments for everyone. Bring your best festive cheer — we’d love to see you.
