Members and friends of the Buckfastleigh Mothers’ Union are warmly invited to our December gathering — a friendly afternoon to get ready for Christmas together. The Mothers’ Union is a Christian movement that supports families and communities around the world, and our branch brings that spirit to life here in town through practical kindness and company.
December meeting: We’ll meet for a seasonal get-together and planning session.
- Thursday 4 December 2025 — 2.30 pm, in the lounge at St Luke’s Church.
We’ll be decorating the tree in the church entrance, making Christmas cards for members who aren’t able to get out and for the residential homes here in Buckfastleigh, and rounding off the afternoon with a celebratory Christmas tea. Do come along — everyone is very welcome, and there’s always time for a chat over a cuppa.
Festive stall at the street market: We’ll also have a small stall of festive goodies during the town’s street market — please pop by and say hello.
- Wednesday 3 December 2025 — from 4 pm onwards, on the steps of St Luke’s Church.
Looking ahead: We start the new year on Thursday 8 January with a talk by Anne Leigh titled “Christmas Here and There”. We’d love to see you there.
