Unstoppable: work-in-progress play at Moor Imagination Centre

From make.shift.theatre, Unstoppable: A beginner’s guide to making an (im)possibly glorious future comes to Moor Imagination Centre on Saturday 29 November 2025, with two performances and a free, drop-in creative workshop. This warm, inventive new play looks at friendship, choice and the futures we might build together — and you’re warmly invited to come along, enjoy the show and share your ideas to help shape its next steps.

Key details:

  • Date: Saturday 29 November 2025
  • Performances: 4.30pm and 7.45pm
  • Workshop: 10am–12 noon (free, drop-in, in the foyer)
  • Venue: Moor Imagination Centre
  • Tickets: £8–£15 (sliding scale)
  • Running time: 75 minutes (no interval)
  • Suitability: 12+ with parental/guardian discretion

About the play: Written and directed by Hannah Mulder, Unstoppable follows best friends Ethan and Stella. Ever since the post-it note incident at work they’ve been inseparable — but now Ethan’s moving halfway across the world and Stella has a burning question that can’t wait, one that might change everything. Their love story — between friends — ripples across multiple possible futures, from seed libraries to concrete-smashing parties, real democracy to treetop saunas.

Inspired by climate and systems science, the play explores tipping points in both human lives and the Earth’s living systems, revealing how each of us can help build radical hope in a time of crisis. This is a work-in-progress sharing: come and see it in its current form, then lend your feedback to help the team develop the show. We’d love to see you there.

Creative workshop (free): Before the first performance, join theatre-maker Hannah for Unstampable: Postcards from the Still Possible — a playful, drop-in creative space in the foyer from 10am to 12 noon. Craft your own “postcards” from a future you’d love to help make, and explore together what a just and thriving future could look like, how we might get there, and what future generations might want to tell us now. All ages and levels of experience are very welcome.
