Craft sessions and workshops at the Wool Hub

Woolly Nanas’ Wool Hub has a full November programme of free weekday drop-ins for felting, spinning, knitting and weaving, alongside new mums and sock-knitting groups and weekend sessions. Expect friendly workshops and children’s courses, with a shop and craft library to explore.

There’s a cosy hum about The Wool Hub this November, with needles clicking, wheels whirring and plenty of friendly chat. The Woolly Nanas welcome everyone—whether you’re brand new to yarn crafts or have years under your belt.

Regular weekday drop-ins: Pop in each weekday for felting, spinning, knitting and weaving. Sessions are free; a small donation helps keep materials and the kettle topped up. You can also browse the shop and our extensive textile-craft library. All activities take place at The Wool Hub.

New free sessions in November 2025:

Tuesdays 10.30am–1.30pm: Mums of new babies knitting and crochet group—come to learn a new skill or share your know-how in a friendly circle. We’ve some lovely handmade baby clothes and blankets for sale, too.
Wednesdays 1pm–3pm: Sock knitting with Gill Gant for those with a little knitting experience—tackle a sock or two with expert guidance.

Free sessions are unticketed; donations are appreciated if you’re able.

Weekend highlights:

Saturday 8 November 2025 10.30am–3pm: Free drop-in weaving and knitting. All ages and abilities are warmly welcome; please donate if you can.
Saturday 29 November 2025 10am–5pm: The shop will be open throughout Wintertide for shopping, weaving or needle-felting.

Bookable courses and workshops: Booking is essential for the sessions below—details at the end.

Tuesdays 4–25 November 2025: Afterschool wet-felting course for children aged 8+, £60 per child for the block.

Saturday workshops:

Saturday 8 November 2025 (all day): Remembrance Day poppy-making workshop (wet felting and needle-felting), small group of 6–8 people, £40.
Saturday 15 November 2025 10.30am–12.30pm: Felted fairy-making with Marcelle, £25.
Saturday 29 November 2025: Advent door wreath with needle-felted elements, small group of 6–8 people, £45 (you can use a willow base and greenery).

Children’s craft sessions (school term): For ages 8+, £15 per session. Subsidised places are available—please enquire (details below).

Felting Fun Mondays 3.30pm–5pm.
Crochet & yarn crafts Wednesdays 3.45pm–5.15pm (new day and time).
Wet-felting course Tuesdays 3.30pm–5pm (new).
