Come and join the Buckfastleigh Memory Café for a cosy afternoon gathering in a warm railway carriage at the South Devon Railway, Buckfastleigh. As the nights draw in, we’re meeting a little earlier than usual, and we’ll be staying comfortably stationary on the platform. Memory cafés are friendly, relaxed meet-ups for people living with dementia or memory problems and their companions—everyone is welcome.
Vic and Emma are returning to help us record our collaborative ghost story, “No One is Listening”, which we began together in October. It’s a gentle, creative session with time to chat, and refreshments will be provided as usual.
A quick bit of local colour: the South Devon Railway is a much-loved heritage line beside the River Dart, linking Buckfastleigh with Totnes. We won’t be travelling, but the carriage makes a snug and characterful setting for an autumn afternoon.
