Family summer garden trail at Buckfast Abbey

Buckfast Abbey invites families to explore its grounds with a garden trail running in August. Pick up a £1 trail sheet from the Gift Shop and collect a small prize when you complete the trail.

Looking for a simple summer-holiday outing close to home? The team at Buckfast Abbey are inviting families to enjoy a gentle Summer Garden Trail through the Abbey grounds between 4–31 August 2025. It’s a relaxed, self-guided way to explore the gardens together, and a lovely excuse for a stroll.

Buckfast Abbey’s peaceful grounds, just by Buckfast and near Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor, make a beautiful setting for a wander at this time of year. Come and join in — we’d love to see you there.
