Methodist Church worship and coffee morning

Methodist Church welcomes you to regular Sunday worship at the chapel in the abbey grounds, open daily for quiet reflection with space to leave prayer requests. There’s also a weekly Wednesday drop-in coffee morning at the Valiant Soldier in Buckfastleigh.

Our Sunday worship continues in its usual friendly pattern at the Methodist chapel in the grounds of Buckfast Abbey, just opposite the main Abbey doors. Buckfast Abbey is a well-loved local landmark and working monastery, and the chapel offers a peaceful spot for worship and reflection.

Services and opening times:

  • Sundays: 10.30am service on the second Sunday of the month; 3pm services on all other Sundays.
  • Chapel open daily: around 10am–4pm for visitors and private reflection.
  • Prayer requests: there’s a wall space in the chapel where you can leave prayer requests; these are always remembered during the following Sunday worship.

Wednesday coffee morning: Do pop in for a warm welcome and a cuppa at our drop-in coffee morning at the Valiant Soldier in Buckfastleigh, 10am–12noon every Wednesday. It’s a relaxed space to chat and catch up with neighbours—everyone’s welcome.

Whether you’re a regular or haven’t visited in a while, we’d love to see you. Come and join us for worship, quiet reflection, or simply a friendly coffee and conversation.
