Join us aboard the South Devon Railway on the 17th September for a very special journey with the Conversation Works Memory Café. This year marks the first anniversary of our cherished Memory Café, and to celebrate, we're hosting an anniversary special on the 3.45 train.
It's been an incredible year since our first café set off, and we've made tremendous strides in providing a supportive community for those living with memory problems or dementia. For this special occasion, we’re not just serving our usual biscuits; we’ve got some delightful cakes on the menu, lovingly baked by Buckfastleigh’s own Karl Williams. We're also thrilled to have the Bishopsteignton Memory Café joining us for this event. Plus, keep your ears tuned to BBC Radio Devon, as we’ll be having a chat with them too!
If you or someone you know could benefit from a friendly, supportive outing, please do come along. This gathering is open to anyone dealing with memory issues and their companions. You’ll find plenty of welcoming volunteers ready to make you feel comfortable, and we offer not just support and information, but a chance to enjoy a lovely excursion on our historic railway.
No booking is required for this event. However, if you have any questions or are interested in volunteering with us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can reach Kathrine at Kathrine@conversationworks.co.uk or on 07899 993134.
