After a fulfilling five-year tenure at St Luke’s Church, Rev Laura McAdam is preparing to embrace a new challenge. This summer marks not just the end of an era in Buckfastleigh but the beginning of an exciting new chapter as an Associate Priest in Paignton, starting in September. Rev McAdam's time here was marked by significant achievements, including pivotal community support during the pandemic and the establishment of a new food bank team, thanks to the incredible commitment of local volunteers.

Her journey in Buckfastleigh was deeply enriching, professionally and personally, as she grew into her roles as a priest and a parent. Rev McAdam has expressed her deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of her journey—those she has worked alongside, served, and learnt from. Her focus on families and outreach to those outside the congregations will surely enrich her new community in Paignton as well.
